Why choose a trail at Parc national de Frontenac?
Frontenac National Park is located in the Eastern Townships and Chaudière-Appalaches regions of Quebec. It was created in 1987 to protect its territory.
It is an ideal place to escape the daily stress and enjoy a day or more in nature. Whether it's with your family, your friends or your dogs!
Frontenac Park covers an area of 156.5 square kilometers.
The landscape consists of hardwood hills, lakes, ponds and marshes, and is home to over 200 species of birds and many mammals.
Frontenac Park is accessible year round.
There is an entrance fee to enter the park! However, it is free for children under 18 years old.

Starting Point
There are two ways to get there:
Saint-Daniel sector: from Thetford Mines, take route 267 south and follow the indications.
South sector: from Sherbrooke, follow route 108 east to Saint-Romain, then turn left on route 263 and continue to the park entrance.
Why visit Parc national de Frontenac
More than a dozen hiking trails crisscross the two parts of the park, offering hikers a variety of lengths and different levels of difficulty.
Whether on the slopes of the Massif de Winslow trail, or on the shore of Grand Lac Saint-François, in the middle of the coniferous forest, or in the immense peat bog with its thousand years of history, all the park's trails cross all kinds of ecosystems and forest habitats.
Things not to be missed
You probably didn't have time to enjoy all the activities: kayaking, canoeing, trail walking, etc. Don't worry!
Several shelters are available in Frontenac Park. You can choose to sleep in camping, canoe-camping, ready-to-camp, rustic camp or in one of the 8 intimate lakeside cottages.

● Frontenac Park Cabins:
In Frontenac National Park, enjoy the comfort and privacy of a cozy cottage in the southern region. It can accommodate from 2 to 12 people, all cottages are located on the waterfront and offer a view of the lake. Canoes and paddle boats are included in all cottage rentals.
● Star Lending-Camping:
Ten Étoile ready-to-camp sites are offered in the Baie Sauvage campground (South sector). With a cubic shape, the Étoile ready-to-camp is supported by a wooden structure sealed with canvas. In addition to offering a higher height, more capacity of reception (approximately 6 people) and more storage, it integrates perfectly with the environment in which it is implanted.
● Rustic Camp:
La Tanière Rustic Camp is ideal for nature lovers looking for a comfortable rustic stay. It is located on the shores of Bear Lake.
