Since 1958, Montfort, with Laurel and St. Michael, constituent part of the Municipality of Wentworth-Nord , in the MRC (regional county municipality) The Pays d'en Haut . The region with many lakes and favored a well-preserved forest cover, attracts boaters, vacationers as amateur winter sports. The state of nature there favors maintaining diverse wildlife.
