The Skootamatta River is a river in southern Ontario, Canada. It flows from its source at Skootamatta Lake to the Bay of Quinte on the north shore of Lake Ontario. The river is approximately 107 kilometres long. The river was named for the Skootamatta First Nation, who lived along its banks.

The Skootamatta River is a popular destination for whitewater rafting, canoeing and kayaking. The river has a number of Class III and IV rapids, including "The Chute", "The Drop" and "The Falls".

The Skootamatta River is also a popular fishing destination. Species of fish found in the river include bass, pike, muskellunge, walleye, trout and salmon.

The Skootamatta River is surrounded by forests and wildlife. There are numerous hiking trails in the area, including the Trans Canada Trail. The area is also home to black bears, moose, deer and other wildlife.
