The Mount Chester trails are located in the Ghost Wilderness Area, near the town of Canmore, Alberta. To get to the start of the trails, take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) to the exit for Highway 40. Follow Highway 40 south for about 20 km until you reach the turnoff for the Ghost Wilderness Area. Follow this road for about 10 km until you reach the trailhead parking lot.
