Mount Chephren is a mountain located in the Mistaya River Valley of Banff National Park, Canada. Mount Chephren was named after Chephren, the 4th Dynasty Egyptian pharaoh. The mountain was originally named Pyramid Mountain in 1897 by J. Norman Collie, but it conflicted with an identically named peak in Jasper National Park, so it was renamed in 1918 to its present name.The Mount Chephren is a mountain located in Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Canadian Rockies and is situated in the Banff National Park. The mountain is named after an Egyptian Pharaoh, Chephren.
The mountain has two peaks, the North Peak and the South Peak. The North Peak is the higher of the two peaks, reaching an elevation of 2,873 metres (9,396 feet). The South Peak is 2,851 metres (9,325 feet) high. The mountain can be climbed via a number of routes, including the North West Ridge and the South East Ridge.
The mountain is popular with climbers and hikers and offers some of the best views in the Canadian Rockies.
