The Enterprise crew finds an alien vessel that has been damaged by a meteor storm. They board the ship in an attempt to help the aliens, but they soon find themselves in danger.

The USS Enterprise-D is investigating some unusual activity near a meteor cluster. A shuttlecraft is dispatched to investigate and it is soon discovered that an alien vessel is caught in the middle of the cluster. The Enterprise beams the aliens aboard and they are brought to sickbay.
Act One Edit
Doctor Crusher is tending to the aliens, who are two males. She determines that they are not injured, but they are suffering from shock. She asks Commander Riker and Lieutenant Worf to escort them to guest quarters. The aliens are very confused and do not understand what happened. They also do not understand English, although they can speak it somewhat.
Meanwhile, Data is trying to figure out what caused the damage to the ship. He determines that a meteor shower struck the ship, causing it to lose power and crash into the cluster. The Enterprise crew tries to help the aliens get their ship back online, but they are unsuccessful. The aliens are very grateful for the help.
Riker and Worf take the aliens to their quarters, where they give them some food. The aliens are still confused, but they eat the food nonetheless. Riker and Worf try to communicate with them, but they are having difficulty understanding them. Then, the aliens start to become ill. They develop a high fever and start shaking uncontrollably. Crusher determines that they are suffering from a virus and there is no cure for it. The only thing she can do is make them comfortable until they die.
Riker and Worf are devastated by this news. They had grown attached to the aliens and had hoped that they would be able to help them. Riker decides to tell the aliens about their fate in their own language. The aliens are saddened by this news, but they accept it gracefully. They say goodbye to Riker and Worf and die peacefully a short time later.
Act Two Edit
Data is still trying to figure out how to get the alien ship online, but he has been unsuccessful so far. Picard decides to send a team over to the ship to try and fix it. He assigns Worf, Geordi La Forge, and Ensign Ro Laren to go on the mission. They beam over to the ship and start working on repairs.
While they are working, a strange creature comes out of hiding and starts attacking them. They are able to kill it, but they are then attacked by another one. This one is too strong for them to kill, so they retreat back to the Enterprise.
Meanwhile, Crusher has determined that the virus is spreading rapidly throughout the ship. She tells Picard that everyone on board will die within hours unless a cure is found. Picard is devastated by this news and orders everyone on board to be quarantined in their quarters.
Worf, La Forge, and Ro return to the Enterprise and report what happened on the alien ship. Picard orders them to find a way to kill the creature before it can spread any further. La Forge comes up with a plan and he and Ro head back over to the alien ship. This time, they are successful in killing the creature.
The Enterprise crew is able to find a cure for the virus and everyone survives.

Unfortunately, that is the best that can be said about EA’s latest release, Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel.
Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is a third person shooter set in Mexico. You play as either Alpha or Bravo, two mercenaries working for a private military company. The game starts with you and your partner being ambushed by a rival PMC. From there, you are tasked with taking down the cartel that is responsible for the attack.
The story in Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is forgettable at best. It feels like it was tacked on at the last minute and does nothing to add to the game. The characters are one dimensional and there is no real development between them. The dialogue is also terrible, with most of it consisting of cheesy one liners.
The gameplay in Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is also nothing special. It is basically a standard cover based shooter. You will spend most of your time hiding behind walls and shooting enemies. There are a few sections where you have to use a turret or drive a car, but they are nothing special. The gunplay is also quite generic and does not offer anything new.
Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel also suffers from some poor design choices. For example, there are sections where you have to escort someone and if they die, you fail the mission. This makes no sense, since you are playing as mercenaries who are supposed to be able to handle themselves in a fight. There are also several sections where you have to protect an object or person, which again feels like pointless busywork.
The graphics in Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel are also quite poor. The textures are blurry and the environments look bland. The character models are also quite ugly and look like they were ripped straight out of a PS2 game.
Overall, Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is a disappointing game. It offers nothing new or exciting and is simply a mediocre shooter. If you are looking for a good co-operative shooter, then I would recommend checking out games like Gears of War or Halo instead.

A Toronto-area woman is warning others about a scam in which she was nearly scammed out of $2,000.
The woman, who asked not to be identified, says she was contacted on the phone last week by someone who said they were from her bank. The caller told her that there was a problem with her account and that she needed to transfer money to another account to fix it.
The woman says she was hesitant at first, but the caller reassured her and said the bank would cover any losses. The woman then transferred $2,000 to the other account.
It wasn’t until later that she realized she had been scammed.
“I just feel so stupid,” she told CTV Toronto. “I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.”
Police are warning people about this scam and reminding them that banks will never ask for personal information or money over the phone.
