Gore is awesome! Met lots of interesting people. Love the beautiful views and various trails. Gore is closest to us but I would still travel to ski some awesome trails.π

Best area in NY hands down. wide variety of terrain, great passholder deals, reasonable food prices for a ski area, and good food with a wide variety. Not many extra amenities like hotels or shops which makes the mountain perfect for people who actually want to ski. crowds are rarely bad, and great conditions. They even did a great job in the 2015-16 season when the natural snowfall practically didn't exist.

Took the Gondola ride to the top of the mountain...fun ride...best part was on top...the mountain trails....freaky...and the trail through the thick forest awesomely spooky due to minimal sunlight which can seep in. Good playzone for kids available.

My favorite mountain that's close enough for a day trip from Albany. Almost always has great conditions. The terrain is perfectly suited to skiers/riders of all abilities and age levels. I also love the fact that it's not a giant, built up commercial mountain - it's a no frills place for people focused on the mountain and not the amenities afterward.
