As you descend to the river, this park presents a beautiful landscape, calm and tranquil, from which you can see the ruins of the once magnificent pier.

To the west, as you walk along the flat terrain of the St. Lawrence River, you have the opportunity to admire the stunning shale cliffs 60 meters high.

Activities available at the Joly-De Lotbinière estate:

You and your whole family can have a picnic under the shade of a century-old tree.

As you participate in exploratory games, you can spot vegetables in the vegetable garden, smell the flowers, collect shells by the river, and much more!

These games and activities are sure to bring back old memories!

Also, as you hike through the old growth forest, you will see and admire the beauty of a giant 300-year-old tree.

You'll even be able to visit the historic mansion's exhibits! These are just a few activities offered by this special place, allowing you to breathe the fresh air and escape the stress and indulge in nature in complete safety.

Starting Point

From Exit 278 on Highway 20, follow Route 271 north to St. Croix. Then take Route 132 west, and after 7 km, take the Pointe-au-Platon road for 3 km.

Things not to be missed

The "The Maple" and "The Oak" trails are located in an extraordinary old-growth forest, where century-old and bicentennial trees grow, you will be able to explore more than 250 oaks, sugar maple forests, black ash forests and even a fir forest dotted with yellow birch.

The L'Érable trail passes through an area considered the "Special Forest of Quebec," while The Oak passes through a yellow birch fir forest.

Another trail leads to the tidal flats, from which we will see a panoramic view of the river.

At low tide, the trail is 4 kilometers long. The manor and garden trails provide glimpses of houses in the garden brimming with flower beds.
