Castle Mountain is a mountain located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. The mountain was named by James Hector in 1858 for its resemblance to a Scottish castle. At an elevation of 2,663 metres (8,711 ft), Castle Mountain is the eleventh highest peak in Alberta. It is also the most prominent peak in the Bow Valley, rising 1,609 metres (5,280 ft) above the valley floor.

The mountain is composed of sedimentary rock and is flanked by glaciers on three sides. The north face of the mountain is home to the Castle Glacier, while the east and west faces are both home to smaller glaciers. The mountain can be climbed via a number of routes, most of which are Class 3 or 4 scrambles.

Castle Mountain is a popular destination for hikers and climbers, and is part of the larger Castle Provincial Park.

The Castle Mountain Resort is located in Pincher Creek, Alberta. To get to the start of the trails, take Highway 6 south from Pincher Creek for about 15 minutes until you reach the resort.
