Why choose a trail at Domaine de la forêt perdue?

Unless you spend your winters down south or hibernating in a den, you must have heard about the 15-kilometer skating trails found in The Lost Forest of Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel in the Mauricie region.

Domaine de la forêt perdue is located in Mauricie and offers a unique skating experience.

Not only can you practice snowshoeing and white fishing in the magnificent pine forest, but you can also skate through the forest in a 12-kilometer ice maze!

You're likely to come across some local wildlife and a large number of winter birds.

In order to refuel the sportsmen, there is a snack bar open every day, welcoming anyone and for those who bring their lunch, there are heated eating areas that are open on site.

It is important to know that dogs are permitted in exchange for free donations to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel community and volunteer organizations.

The Lost Forest Estate is open from December through mid-March. And to access the site, you have to pay the entrance fee, which comes with a coupon redeemable for a farm product (honey, maple syrup and other treats).

Had a great time! The weather was perfect and the skating was so much fun. Well worth the price of entry. Would certainly go again with more people everything inside was clean and also covid safe! Masks at all times. They served pretty good food. Along with the free thing from the farm which was also so amazing honey spread or whatever you chose for options. Great experience!!!

AMAZING place to spend time in the winter. Skating labyrinth through the forest. There's a location to put on your skates and leave your stuff (unattended though). They serve hot drinks outside. You can also rent for $10 a 'skating chair' to push someone in front of you while skating. Will be defined coming back!

Starting Point

From Exit 203 of Highway 40, take Route 157 north for approximately 12 km. At the traffic lights, turn right onto rang Saint-Félix and continue to the entrance.
