Why hike at Sainte-rose-du-nord ?
The small village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord is nestled in the folds of the Saguenay Fjord about 40 kilometers from Chicoutimi, shyly tucked away from the main road in a small village.
It is surrounded by groups of mountains and capes that offer exceptional panoramic views and easy access.
This village of 400 people is nestled in lush vegetation, attracting visitors with its beautiful scenery between densely forested rugged mountains and the tranquil waters of the fjord.
Some typical houses and a beautiful white chapel attract tourists. The only road present descends slowly to a small port below Sainte-Rose-du-Nord.
You can also enjoy the beautiful panoramic view from the nearby mountain top. There are several viewpoints worth a visit, especially on the harbor side.

Starting Point
From Route 172, take Rue du Quai to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord.
In summer, you can park your car at the beginning of the entrance to the park and then drive up the steep slope of Chemin de la Montagne, accessible from the village of Sainte-Rose-du-Nord.
In winter, since this road is inaccessible by car, you must park your vehicle at the foot of the mountain and climb the first 800 meters on foot.
