Why choose a trail at Réserve de parc national de l'Archipel-de-Mingan?

Near the north shore of the St. Lawrence Gulf, there are about 40 limestone islands accompanied many islands, creating the Mingan Archipelago. That's where this reserve located, with an area of 110 km², which offers several hiking trails on four islands. Boreal forest, moor, cliffs, bogs and salt marshes: in the browsing several media we cross. Heathland, which covers less than 10% of the territory of the archipelago, offers vegetation similar to that of the tundra and alpine peaks. We'll see, on some islands, monoliths created by the erosion of limestone cliffs. We can see mammals, 200 species of birds including raptors and seabirds, as well as common seals, gray and Greenland
