Anthony's Nose is a prominent peak in the Hudson Highlands of New York, just south of West Point. The mountain was named for Anthony Wayne, a general in the American Revolution. The most popular route to the summit is a moderate 3.8-mile hike that begins at the Appalachian Trail parking lot on Route 9D and ascends 1,500 feet. The views from the summit are spectacular, with 360-degree vistas of the Hudson River Valley and the Catskill and Berkshire Mountains.
