The Morvan is a territory of Burgundy-Franche-Comté located in the Massif Central natural region. It consists of plateaus and valleys, crossed by numerous rivers. Its highest point is Mount Beuvray, at an altitude of 721 meters.

The Morvan is a territory rich in natural and cultural heritage. In particular, there is the Morvan Regional Nature Park, created in 1977 to preserve the biodiversity and landscapes of the territory. The Park counts more than 1,000 animal and plant species, including about 40 protected species. Its landscapes are characterized by beech and oak forests, meadows and ponds.

The Morvan is also a territory steeped in history. Many historical sites are located there, such as the castle of Bazoches or the abbey of Fontenay. The villages of the Morvan are also very typical, with their stone houses and slate roofs.

The Morvan is a popular tourist destination for nature lovers and sports activities. In particular, hiking, cycling and canoeing are practiced there.
