Why hike at Shadow Lake ?
Shadow Lake is a lake in the Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada. It is the second lowest lake on the Gull River. The lake is attached to the slightly lower Silver Lake by two rapids at its southern end. At its northern end, the Gull River is navigable west to a dam in Norland.Shadow Lake is a pristine, clear-water lake located in the heart of Alberta's Rockies. Fed by glaciers and snowmelt, the lake is known for its excellent fishing and stunning scenery. The lake is surrounded by dense forest and rugged mountains, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, canoeing, and swimming in the summer, and skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the winter.

Starting Point
The easiest way to get to the start of the trails at Shadow Lake is to drive east on Highway 22 from Calgary. Take the exit for Highway 532 and drive north for about 10 km until you reach the lake. There is a parking lot on the east side of the lake where you can park your car.
