The mount brazeau is a mountain located in Alberta, Canada. At an elevation of 2,858 metres (9,380 ft), it is the eleventh-highest peak in the province. The mountain was named in 1884 by J. Norman Collie after John Brazier, a British mountaineer and friend of Collie's. The first ascent of the peak was made in 1898 by J. Norman Collie and party.
The mountain is composed of sedimentary rock laid down during the Precambrian to Jurassic periods. Formed in a shallow sea, this sedimentary rock was pushed east and over the top of younger rock during the Laramide orogeny. The main peak is made of quartzite, while the lower slopes are made of limestone and shale.
The mountain is located within Jasper National Park and is part of the Canadian Rockies. It can be accessed from Highway 16, which runs along the Athabasca River valley. The mountain can also be accessed from the north via the Icefields Parkway.
