Kananaskis Improvement District is an improvement district in Alberta, Canada. It is located within Alberta's Rockies, sharing much of its boundaries with Kananaskis Country. The administrative centre of the improvement district is Kananaskis Village.

The Mount Kidd is a mountain located in the Kananaskis Country of Alberta, Canada. It is part of the Canadian Rockies, and is the ninth-highest peak in the range. The mountain was named in 1898 by James Outram, after Sir John A. Macdonald, who was then Prime Minister of Canada. The first ascent of the peak was made in 1903 by J. Norman Collie and party.

The mountain is composed of sedimentary rock, with some areas of shale and limestone. There are several glaciers on the mountain, the largest of which is the Kidd Glacier. The mountain is a popular destination for climbers and hikers, with a number of trails leading to the summit. The most popular route is the North West Ridge, which is a Class 3 scramble.

The Mount Kidd trails are located in Kananaskis Country, Alberta. To get to the start of the trails, take Highway 40 south from Calgary to the Kananaskis Village turnoff. Follow the signs to the village and then continue on the Smith Dorrien Trail (Highway 742) until you reach the Mount Kidd parking lot.
